Author Topic: Does your wife/gf rag your ass about spare parts like mine does? (Read 6052 times)

My wife rags my ass all of the time about this or that. I bought a rolled 85 efi last year for 200.00. Sold the tranny for 175.00. Used the top shift for my dual case setup. Sold the bed to Stehlydan for 130.00. Sold a few other pieces on ebay. Will eventually use the efi stuff and swap to my 84. Used the starter to replace the bad one in the 4runner as well as the alternator and the 80a fusible link. Geez, I made a lot off this truck alone!! Still have the cab, doors, frame, axles...all good stuff. I run a scout dana 300 in my Jeep. They only made these in 1980. I have bought a couple sets of spare gears on ebay. Not good according to her. She gets everything she wants??!! What do you guys think? Oh yeah...my shop is like 5 miles from the house, so it's not like the yard looks like crap....any input? Is it just a woman thing?

i'm 17 and i bought a parts truck about 6 months ago. We have a two car garage and a 3 car driveway. we have a total of 5 cars at my house. i had my truck in the garage next to the parts truck and i had another project car sitting. my mom started to get pissed off when i put the parts in the backyard. I gave her 200 bucks and she shutup. Now i have a bed and like 4 pairs of leaf springs in the back. she just gets pissed when she trips over parts.....

Now - I find him spare parts all the time - and I have a collection of my own. We both have our own sets of tools and so on - when is it time to complain? When they parts are scattered from one end of the yard to the other and we get written up by the HOA. If I can keep all of my collection in order and neat looking - then he can do the same with his.

no wife or gf. my mom don't like the parts collection. i should of gone threw it before i moved...it will still be there when i come back to visit. there is stuff from motor and cab swaps, misc leaf springs, ect. and lets not forget tires(dad helps with that).
there is a pack rat jean in my dad's side of the family...and i got it.

No problem here, in fact she buys parts and such and gives them to me for birthdays and that. She says I become unbearable if I want parts for either of my toys and it's keeping me from wheelin'. She just sold her Grand am and now drives my Ford truck just so I could buy myself a new (old) Yota 4x4. My garage is a parts house for both rigs and as long as she can get her truck in next to the pool table and pinball machine she's ok. Then she really loves Disney and the inside of my house is like going to Disneyland, guess you give and take.
