Topic: tube bed for 84 toyota truck

Does anyone have any suggestions on how i should build my bed ? I am planning on using 1 1/4 inch square tubing with .120 wall . Does anyone have pics of there tube bed if so i am open for suggestions.....

I made mine out of a combo of square tubing and round tube.  The square tubing was a combination of sizes 1"-2" and wall  thickness .065-.120 depending on where the tube was going,  the round tube was all 1-5/8" and .120.  I will post up more info if you/when you come back to the forum.

Me too      Well unless you already have the tube I would consider bumping the size up to 1.5''.  Its stronger and will look a little more at home on the back of your truck.  I'm guessing you don't have a tube bender since you want to use square tube so my suggestion is to go simple...



 Do a flat deck, one that tappers towards the back like this one and just box it in a little bit.  This is how I was going to do my bed before I had access to a bender.  Hope it gave you some ideas.
