Topic: A340F 4 speed automatic transmission

I was wondering if a A340F 4 speed automatic transmission would be good for crawlin. i have one with a t case. i was going to put it in my crawler but was not sure if its a good enough transmission. if it's not good for crawlin how much do those normally sell for??

run it then when it blows buy mine as a spare    fyi most comp. buggies run autos   i love mine just would not adapt well to a SBC.

  As long as it's the "F" model of the A340 you're good to go..They put those behind the 4.7L V8 and I can tell you I never had a problem with mine in the Tundra. You'll need Two adaptors not just one....Transmission:adaptor:crawlerboxe:adaptor:T/C.  Ok your good to go.


   As for how I know they can stand up....Try lighting up all four tires for a slow speed doughnut smoke show..

   It's impressive when you drift around the pavement from a dead stop.
