ouch!  :trout:

Hey Cherokee91red,

You know if you're using either a W-series Toyota variant transmission (Jeep AX5) or the R-series variant Toy. trans (Jeep AX15) then it might still be possible to change the tailhousing to the Toyota style which would allow you to directly bolt up a RF1A Toyota gear drive transfercase. Then you could run either Marlin's 4.70:1 gear set or start stack low ranges like pancakes. But the biggest question is if your front diff is a passengers side/right hand front pumpkin? Cuz your gonna need it-

Unfortunately I have the AW-4. But I'm trying to find out if there's some sort of adapter out there. BTW, how long is the yota t-case? my slip yoke on the 231 is starting to give me problems, and the sye for it is 500.

how fast are you able to go in 2low i'm sure it'll be awsome to use when you want to merge off a ramp to get into speed, or to just get going faster from a dead stop.

What transfer case is in your cherokee? There is a kit for 2 low for the 231 but i think yours would have the 242.

What? :whythis: Double low range on the freeway?

Wow, at least I learned something in 3 years: From memory, a Toyota t/case is 14 inches from front mating face to rear output flange.

no...just while using to merge off a ramp from like a 10 mph roll or from a dead stop if you wanted to get going for towing...not cruising on the hiway or around town or anything lol

I do this in drive-thrus a lot. I sometimes can idle the rig past the microphone while ordering, and then in line with cars in front of me, and get all the way to the window without using the brakes or taking it out of gear

I've put mine in 4lo (hubs unlocked, of course, effectively 2lo) in real bad stop and go traffic just so I wouldn't have to keep using the left pedal.

The best one is 2low at metering lights, no brake or gas involved, then shift back to high before the light turns green.
