Dual Cases, A question thats probably been answered
« on: Sep 16, 2004, 06:40:18 PM »
OK, I've been learning a lot about this setup the past few days and have some questions.  My truck currently has a top shift t-case I believe.  I just bought a tranny and t-case that is forward shift.  I am putting the forward shift tranny and tcase in my truck, when I do dual cases, I will have to switch the tcases right?  Can I swap them now with out doing anything else?

Keep your top shift tcase for later when you go with the duals. Right now you have to run your forward shift tcase with the tranny it came with. When you go duals all you will need is the adapter kit. You will unbolt the forward shift case, disassembly it and remove the back half. Then you will bolt the adapter plate to the back of the front half. The tcase will bolt to the back of the tranny just like before except now it will have the adapter towards the rear. Then bolt the top shift tcase to the back of the adapter. All done.
