I already have an aussie in the rear and i love it. Im just wanting to get some opinions from some people about running one in the front. im running 33" with 4.10s

I like mine f/r, but hope you have power steering if you plan to put one up front

i love mine in the front.... have had many hard runs and its still holding up like the day i put it in

ohh yess, i have power steering. i dont have cross-over steering yet but eventually.

ive only broken one in 4 rock trips, and none in idk how many snow runs

but i broke mine at squeeze rock and i could have avoided it if i paid attention to where my tire was... but the stockers are holding up great so far and im not easy on my rig either

i got them f/r they work great but i hope you have power steering or you will be fighting it ALOT...i just up graded to hydro assist and it works way better now.....

Mines still going strong.

Have seen bad luck with locked fronts and stock birfs. @ Hollister, IN the dirt. I don't see how you peps make stockers work in rocks with a locked front. I'd recommend carrying spares if you run stock birfs.

What size tire to you plan on stopping at? I know the stock carrier center pins can become fragil once ya get into the too big or heavy a tire.

I haven't broken any yet on 36's, but I would also suggest carrying spares

If u break a birf/axle it breaks all the pins in the Aussie. Its and easy $5.oo fix.

Hey man i love my aussie!I have an SASed 94 yota pickup with an aussie up front and ARB rear with 36" TSL's.Second run with my stock birfs and I blew the left one.Pretty hard wheeling though!I run longs now and the aussie is still holding up!

It happened to me 2 times. Both times it was the same thing broken pins and bent springs. The gears were never hurt ether time. I havent had any problems since i put Longs in.

I have one in the front with stock birfs, 4.56's, and 33's.(open rear) Ran the Rubicon last year with no problems. I plan on putting one in the rear also.

that just doesnt happen with aussies from what i have heard...thats why they are where they are today because they dont break

I have nothing but good things to say about them... The tech guy is super nice and knows his stuff. He even said that if u break an axle it will break pins. Ide WAY rather break $5.00 pins in an Aussie then break an axle with a Detroit and have to spend 500+ to get a whole new locker. Again nothing but good things to say about Aussie.

thats interesting sound kinda like something weird could possible be going on with your setup...? like maybe your carrier is warn well and the tolerances and what they should be...?(just a thought). for all i know everything totally legit but for it to happen to you 2 times...thats kinda weird. let alone iv never beard of this happening before on anything besides a Detroit. and even then iv only read about it happening, and have had friends break many birfs with Detroits and never have broken a locker by it. iv heard of pins shearing before but not being related to birf breakage. i hammer the piss out of my truck and my aussie up front hasn't failed me yet, i only broke one birf before i immediately got chromos, so its not like if broken many birfs, but its deff taken a good beating.

did you ask the customer service guys at aussie if this happens often or not? also just to get an idea what were you doing when they snapped?

Running Aussies F&R for 2 years now (one of those years on 40's). They work great on the trail
