For anyone who is interested, you can download Irfanview freeware from www.irfanview.com

It gives you the ability to do lots of stuff to your pictures.
I haven't found a picture file format it can't view.
But most of all it allows you to resize your pictures.

batch resize and rename, slideshow, etc..

I use it all the time
