Lizard Jeep build
« on: Jan 18, 2009, 03:33:04 PM »
My little brother picked up a kinda half way done yj a while back. Here's the specs.
350-Th350-203-205 doubler wms adapter. D60 front 14 bolt rear disc. 4.56 4 link rear with stock tj coils and some stiff ass front springs. some 44's. It has a hacked up crossmember that needs some serious rebuilding. We will basically be changing mostly everything on it. He picked it up for 3000. Not bad for his first crawler. here's some pics.

Pulled the motor and tranny. The tranny didn't have 3rd gear.

Was going to put the other tranny I had in and broke the ears off. Looks like the case was cracked.

here's a shot of the motor mount thing. Which blow in my opinion.

Some updates onit. I'm redoing the rear 4 link. While my little brother is gone I should set his ride height like this.

this is where it is going to be somewhere about here. And this would be full bump.

wheelbase is set at 115 right now. It was 108 before. The coilovers are set right now at 5" up and 9" down. 14" eibach coilovers I've had laying around for a while.

yeah doing all this and it's not even mine. He is helping but I'm doing most of the work on it. Just gave him my 17" coilovers cuz I'm retarded too.

well did a few things lately. Went from some 14" coilovers to the 17" Bilstein coilovers I had laying around.

rear driveshaft, 1410 yoke

new upper shock mount

new axle coilover mounts.

picked up a lokar shifter. Not sure if I like it yet but we'll see what happens

and just a little bling. gotta support who keeps the parts coming

Here's how it sits now
