My 80 yota long project
« on: Jan 15, 2009, 11:22:32 PM »
I got th truck for $600 and  :driving: it home, came with crappy tires but had an extra set of 31 ATs with it. Wheeled it a few times and will wheel it while I build on it.  Trying to buy a house so it will be a slow build.  My plans are first to put the spool in the rear that I had from a previous project ( got it from Marlin of course)  Then I need a winch bumper to mount my Warn 6k to. Going for Dual cases and 4 inch  :turtle: springs after that so I can do the drive lines once and be done, until they get damaged . 33 or 34 TSLs with 488s some Longfeilds  Probably going to build a 22r/20r hybred motor somewhere in there Eventualy an exo cage  4.7 t case gears in rear case, and lots of lights.
Where I live it is mostly mud and tight trails, I like going down quad trails. Some rocks but not many.
80 yota stock 4 now.   Future plans, alot of Marlin Products and a lot of work.

Nice Toy, love the first gens, looks like a good starting point. You have to watch those drainage ditches they'll jump out in front of you and swallow you hole! :yikes:
How can I get more flex? That is the question.

Sold:

Just remember that if the tires don't rub, then the tires ain't big enough -Runar

The tires in the pic are 30's  now have 31's on it.  I have also bought a 84 4runnr that is now my project.  This truck will be my hauler / thrasher truck. Anything that I up grade on the runner will get put on the truck.  I just ordered 3 inch lift and shackles for the runner so I might do a rear up front and cheveys in the rear on the truck.
