coil over's or a.o.r. orbit eye springs
« on: Dec 21, 2008, 09:09:51 PM »
that is my next decision ..
coil over's with 4 link front and rear or
a.o.r. 5 inch lift springs with orbit eyes on both ends of the spring pack  front and rear...

any pro's and con's on this ideal .....

trial rig only... dovetail front and rear, with 37 or 39 krawlers....

only pavement it will see is going to the trail head from camp....

    thanks again.... for the advice....

That is like comparing Baseball to Football. Two different games, not even in the same league.

I have a wheeling buddy that has the AOR's and they are very noisy, but I have been told that since Alcan took it over they have solved that problem.

I ran them for years. Really flexy springs. For the first few years, my rig was my daily driver. I had to get greasable bolts to get rid of the noise that the orbit eyes make, greasing them as needed.
Now, I am in the process of switching over to link suspension.
The guy who originally sold them, took forever to get them to you. I had to call the Grand Juction PD to go by his shop and find out WTF was going on, and had to threaten him with legal action to get them. Since the Alcan guys took over sales of them, I've had good experiences dealing with them when I had to get a new main leaf.
