The motherboard on a lincoln nowadays is vertical and the miller lays flat...kinda helps in a shop with alot of :pokinit: floatin around in the air.  Don't have to blow out the lincoln nearly as often.  Tweco makes lincoln consumables for cheap.  With miller you gotta use miller.  The lincoln is red.  The miller is blue.

you run into anything that you dont like with the lincoln?

we have to much of both at school but its all the big :pokinit:... 251's, 252's, 350p's, and all the feeder pptions with the xmt's and all the lincoln :pokinit: is the same... nothing small like the 140s. which is kind of a bummer in a way, but its nice being able to use all the nice :pokinit: while at school. o we also have the new pipe pro, but havnet been able to use it yet

I have the 180 as well, still waiting to use it but I believe it does have "diamond core" tech.

As long as it lays a strong bead..that's all I care about..

Diamond core is Lincolns fancy term for the "sweet spot".  It's very easy to dial in and get a good arc.  I love my 180.  I haven't used it a whole lot but I did try it out.  I'm runnin mine on gas and it makes a beautiful bead and can get a good sized puddle going.  Love the heat.

it actually has to do with the coil and power supply... just their term they use but in the end its just a coil

Isn't that why you flip up the panel on the welder and look at the cheat sheet?
