If this keeps up I will have to shovel my roofs. They are not rated for 3 feet of snow, I have over 2 feet now & it is still snowing. The back of the house now.

were at about 18" total now...slid into a fence at school today. put it in 4x4 after that...most places are plowed but its pretty much ice underneath really really dry snow, so it packs up and is slicker than snot.

I woke up to 4" about an hour ago.  And they are predicting more today and tomorrow.  I got crappy tires, so I can't really go play, and it makes getting to work fun.  :yikes:  We don't see this much snow at the coast very often.  Usually it melts as fast as it comes down.

The unusual snow is a direct result of global warming.  :haha:

So, after another crappy drive to work this morning, I thought about getting chains for my truck.  Then I remembered the mother-in-laws Subaru wagon!  So, after a scary drive home, I jumped in the mother in laws car and I'm gonna rock the Scoobie tomorrow!!  :driving: :willynilly:  I took it out and I tried to get it sideways and it held like glue to the icy road.   :smack:  Why wasn't I driving this car to begin with!

My 83 Tercel wagon is better in the snow up to 4 or 5" than my truck with lockers front and rear.

You may want to get that snow off the top of the motorhome before it cracks the cross beams.

That's my neighbors motorhome. He got it for free and he doesn't care if it is ruined, he is making it into a car hauler.

The BIG storm of the year started this afternoon and so far has dropped about 4-6 inches of snow and it expected to continue until tomorrow evening.  The 4Runner with lockers is so much fun on the roads.  The downside is that I get to drive a friend about 40 miles to work early in the morning because she and her husband can't get their cars out of the neighborhood.  She's a nurse so the hospital doesn't close down and she can't miss any more work.  I'm expecting some fun on the highway since it was already ahead of the plows tonight.

Just raining right now but I think its supposed to snow tonight. In either case I am glad we are getting so much rain and snow this early, hope the river season is a lot better than last year and this wetness keeps up.

I got a call from both of my bosses telling me that work is closed tomorrow.  The roads were getting worse towards the end of the day, but the 4Runner was still more than capable of going just about anywhere I wanted.  A friend of mine called, that lives outside of town, and said the 4x4s were getting stuck where he lives.  He's not a wuss in the snow and has a nice Dodge truck so I figure the snow must be fairly deep.  I think we're in the 10+ inch range in town.

It's been 44* and raining all day!  It's really been nice today.   Nice to see the snow gone, but if you look up in the hills nearby, its still around the 400' level.

I love it!  Of course, it brings out all the idiots, and then we've got to go out and pick them up off the road.  :shake:

You'd think people would figure out to slow down when there is snow and ice on the road!
