I added gas to my wire welder lastnight I haven't ever welded with a gas bottle but I must say it is way better than what i had thought it would be. I dint get any Pict of it but I will try to my stupid camera on my phone is acting crazy its telling me it cant access the camera :dunno: however I do plan  :crossed: tonight if I can get my buddy to help me square it all up I am gona weld the front spring hanger in place I have the same amount of distance from the end to the frame on both sides in my case it was 4 inches on the drivers side and 4 inches on the passengers side. if all that goes well I can possibly have the front axle back under the truck either tonight or this weekend.

Update: I ordered my front bumper with stinger today  :shhh: were gona try to keep this on the low down until  it kinda blows over however I did correct my front spring hanger  I did just as the instructions said (the front of the hanger must be flush with the front of the crossbar that connects the leftside to the rightside frame.) I will get some pictures of this as soon as I can get my cell phone cam. to act right and not give me any crap :bat: I still need to weld the back side of the hanger and I will do that as soon as I have time. I am guessing that with my rock sliders and front bumper and the previous owner home made 3 inch thick soild steel bumper should be a little bit of protection for now .  :crossed:

you got the front hanger??  make sure  you look at your shackle angle before welding it in,  this way if you need to you can move it forward a 1/2 inch if needed

I have already welded the front hanger in place along the front  I did what the instructions said do  so that my warranty will be vallid to what they say in there instructions. I checked the hanger angle and it is about the same amount as is whats on my other truck the 1993 "show" truck

a few more pict.

here is the front spring hanger welded up in place (if you follow the instructions in the KIT you wont be wrong they made it so they will know what is right and what is wrong.)

this is the angle of the front spring shackle the rear half of the truck is not done yet so if the shackle angle looks funny then it could be cause of the angle of the truck

hopefuly I will be able to get a little bit more done sometime soon my co-helpers wife is due to have a baby anyday now and he is kinda wanting to be close to her due to "IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY" situation and they need to go the the hospital.

Man that's some ProooFessional weld work there.   :ack:
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE
AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU HAVE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

I am plaining on doing a overlap weld  or a "weaving weld" as some call it  so i know I am not done with it besides I had to change the wire out on the welder cause I ran out :smack:

OK my phone didn't want to act right so i snapped a few Pict with my wife's phone and used bluetooth to send them to my phone and here are the pictures of the ifs box

as you can see in this picture I have the box in place with a 6 inch C clamp since I had no helper

in this shot you can see how the pitman arm and drag link are parallel to one another with out binding against anything and they are not overlapped

this is a top view of the box.

IF YOUR LOOKING OUT THE FRONT OF YOUR 4X4 AND YOU CANT SEE THEN JUST TURN ON YOUR WIPERS. BUT THEN THINGS GET ALL MESSED UP LIKE IN LIFE.

WHEN YOU GET TO THE END OF YOUR ROPE JUST THINK THAT ALONG TIME AGO  YOU WERE THE FASTEST LITTLE SWIMMER TO THE EGG

You'll need to cut the bumper mount that's on top of the frame. It's the little "bump" that the steering box is touching right at the front of it. I really didn't want to cut that out, as I like my stock bumper and the way it looks.

Edit: using a box mount kit that Marlin sells will help you position the box at a good angle.

This is how i did mine, and I still wish the pitman was closer to the frame, but I didn't want to hack up the body (even though I had to massage it with a BFH to get it to fit).
