i am running a cheapy racing seat, they usually retail for $100 each, but i got mine @ the junkyard in good condition for $37

look into putting later year sr5 seats in, the sr5 seasts i put in my 85 from an 84 were very comfortable... i have heard people put in mr2 seats or honda civic seats with good success, depending on how much work you want to do, you can pretty much mount any seat...

i had to drill holes for mine

its slider is mounted through the top of the stock crossmember, and the rear of it, is mounted via a 3/8" solid metal spacer i got from the hardware store, directly to the floor

Ask COToy91 about hunsakers or whatever they are called... he likes those.

Me? I run the factory 85 sr5 seats and I love them. I will probably do hunsakers eventually when I need a better harness.

I swapped out the 60/40 bench seat with 4 runner seats. Very comfortable and cheap (free). It was a perfect fit except the front inside bolt. Nothing that a drill couldn't take care of. Oh yeah is was in my 1990 X-cab pickup.

I had Camry seats in my 80 they work good. I had Recaro's in my 84 they made things a little cramped to get in but were sweet. Had Prelude seats one of my Sammis and accord in another.

I gotta do something about the Econowheeler's seats, has the original bench and if I push hard enough on it I can rip the cover.

  I'm in the same place. Have the original 60/40, the armrest in the middle is broken, just sits in the spot now (thanks to me falling against it when I flopped my truck :smack: )  and the worn/dirty/torn seatcovers aren't doing such a good job of covering my even more worn/dirty/torn seats :hahaha:  Not to mention after 240K miles, the foam is breaking down.

I have vinyl stock seats. I need to get some seats bad. I hate em' especially in the summer! 85efiyota swears by honda prelude seats. I rode with him on the trail and they are awsome, thats what I am going to run. The seat mounts almost line up just one tab has to be pounded down and bolted in. (i think)
