Well it's a sad day.....  I'm going to be putting the truck up for sale in a few days.. I have a baby coming in about a month and the wife and I want to buy a house this summer. I don't want to but it has to be done. Hopefully I will be able to build or buy a 4runner some time next spring or summer. That way the hole family can go and it'll be easier for me to go if the wife and kids can come to...... I'm sad but I have to do it for my family and it's only a temp thing........ I hope  :dunno:

Thanks guys! It gets used when it can.  Wheeling is a lot slower now w/ the kids. Going to look into building a 4runner next year so the whole family can go. That just means if they all get to go I get to go more often!

Well the time has come to sell the Pick-up.   It's sad but i'm moving on to bigger and better things! :eyebrow:
Plan to buy this in it's place as the "family" rig. It's a 90 4runner, w/ a 22re, 5spd, sas, rear leaf springs, dual cases, locked front and back, 30 spline longs, etc etc..... The main selling point was it has a roll cage! gota keep those kids safe in the back! Here are a few pics

Just picked this up over the weekend. Went to Farmington New Mexico from Houston to get it! Talk about a drive!! I never plan to  :driving: 2182 miles in 3 days ever again...
Any way it's a 1990 second gen w/ a 22RE!! 5spd, dual stock cases, 4.88's, locked f/b, spool front, V-6 rear detroit. trail gear springs, full cage, etc, etc....... Gota add a rear bumper, dual case cross member, parking brake, rebuild the knuckles, and swap spool to rear and put detroit in high pinion for the front.... Also have to find the leak in the transfer case and probably change the oil pan gasket. Then it's save for front bumper, warn, and PSC hydro assist

nice lookin 4runner, how did it do on the long drive with the 22re?
never seen a white one with those stripes before.
ive got a 3rz in my 4runner, and it runs fine down the interstate at 95.

Peterbuilt84

Looks like a good base to start with. I can see why you put a rear bumper first on the list   :gap:

towed it home behind my F250 so it did 80 w/ no problem.  :ha_ha: the guy i bought it from was a auto body tech. he added the strips. it's a strip kit to a conversion van. i like them! something different!

Rebuilt the front axle. Turns out the "spool" in front Is just a welded carrier. Has happy to see the word Longfield when I pulled the front axles out! I swaped 3rds around since it didn't want to turn w/ the welded front. Now I'm rocking a V-6 front w/ a Detroit and a welded 4cyl rear. Not really liking the welded rear. Now it's time to hunt for a locker. Next is drop the cases and find where it's leaking from and install the Bud Built cross member and All-Pro parking brake.

Got the transmission leak fixed and the new Bud Built crossmember installed over the weekend. Doing oil change and oil pan gasket tomorrow l. Then I just need to install the All Pro parking brake. Also picked up some new shoes. 37x12.5x17 BFG KM2's. About half tread but better then current tread on the tires it came w/.  :beerchug:
