Exactly what it says, it adjust the cold fast idle when the choke is on.

the arrow is pointing to the cold fast idle adjustment screw.... it is not the one in the green circle, or there is an extra screw exactly where the arrow is that i dont know what it does...

and, the choke is actually supposed to be off when performing the cold fast idle tuning per toyota

I thought that was the idle-up adjustment screw for the idle-up daiphragm.

The way I am reading it with my FSM and your pics is the top one is the Idle-up adjustment and the bottom one is the fast idle adjustment.

i take it then that warm idle speed screw and idle up are different systems?

i looked in the fsm and didnt see any info on tuning the idle up, only the idle speed and fast cold idle :dunno:

based on the above screw identification information and my mediocre technical drawing skills, you need what I circled in red (this is what I believe you have circled in green in your initial post)

thats what i am thinking too..... what i might end up doing is just going to the toy connection and seeing if they will sell me that screw... and possibly a couple other screws too, i need like 1 screw from the floor shifter so i can get 5 others to match and put my shift boot back on....... hopefully the toy connection can help me out...... havent heard too much about them.... and they are kinda out of the way... but if i need to go, i will.....
