Birfeild eliminator kits
« on: Jul 19, 2004, 08:43:43 AM »
What's everybodys take on the Birf Eliminator kits? It seems like when the Longfeilds came out every one was happy with them, now I see an interest on the eliminator kits again. Are people breaking Longs now? I have a set and they have held up great, just curious.

Eliminator kits are pretty strong but they are not indestructible.  The problem with them is they have to cut the inner shaft thin in the area that the u-joint "ears" and the shaft meet in order to fit inside the housing.  That is their achilles heal, they always seem to snap right there.
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

The problem with the birf eliminator kit is parts on the trail are harder to find then a toy birf or axle..Beside bobby's new 30spline axle and new bifr looks SAWEET..And bobbys old birfs have proven themselfs..
Forgiveness is between them and god..
Its my job to arrange the meeting!
