Forward shift case, not a top shift like I thought...

I am trying to figure out if Im screwed or not. I just pulled out my transfercase and am ready to put in marlin 4.7s. I thought my case was top shift for some reason, but it is forward shift. This case is going behind an adapted Ford NP435 Granny 4 speed so I wont have a transfercase shifter. (oh :pokinit:) I see an inspection plate where it looks like the shifter might go...

...so what now :dunno:

OK I just had a thought, I have another box on the bench with a marlin twinstick in it. If I pop off the inspection plate would my twinstick work there or is there adapters and such I will need?

you have to get new/or modify your shifting rails. also the hole pattern for the forward shift shifter and top shift shifter isnīt the same. my :twocents:

 2,4 dti duals 2,28 x 2,28 to 8" 5.71 with arbīs  and 39,5" trxus
gathering parts for my goal which is
350 Chevy 700r4 auto to 2.28 x 4.70  and 4.88 9,5" cruisers diffs,diamondaxles and cable lockers, 44" richard cepecs

I can see where it says there is a forward to topshift conversion on the MC site but I cant bring anything up? Is there a different MC twinstick for a topshift and forward shift? I hope not because I cant remember if I had to specify but if I did then I probably have the wrong one!

Bazzi- 1. Bitchin Rig! 2. Do you plan on running the toy tcase with your 350?

here īs a pic of the blockoff plate for the t-case

and here is a pic of the tailhosing block off plate.



you can see the difference in bolt pattern... I belive there is to kind of bases for the tvin shift.

I am planing to run the duals with the 350. I have a 23 spline input, a addapter plate from the 700auto .... I have a 4.7 23 spline  for the second case, and a heat treated output shaft.... I hope that will hold up...
