See the link for tow straps with ratings from 20,000 to 120,000 lbs.  The prices are actually quite good for the 20,000 lb straps.
1989 4Runner: Dual Ultimate (Inchworm front & Marlin 4.70 rear), Marlin Twin Stick, 1200-lb clutch, 4.88 R&P, Aussie Front, Detroit rear, 30-spline Longs, Long hub gears, ARP hub and knuckle studs & 35x12.50 Cooper STT PRO tires.  Marlin rear bumper & sliders.  FROR front bumper.  SAS with Alcan springs & Rancho 9000XL shocks.  Budbuilt Bolt-on traction bar.  Custom Interior Cage by Those Guys Rod and Customs.

Moab Tested & Rubicon Approved

as far as offroading goes, the common ones i have seen are a combination of: 2" or 3" thick, 20' or 30' long and 20,000 or 30,000 pound ratings

I run a 4''x30' strap with sliding cordura pieces to keep the strap from damage and the ends have cordura on them as well.  They don't make them anymore according to their site but I love my strap.

HERE is some great info on how to choose a strap.
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??
