well i might as well post my build on here

specs:
88 ford ranger
2.9 EFI 6cyl
5speed
dual 1350 ranger cases
89' Kingpin HP DANA 60
-Yukon 5.13s
-Yukon 35 spline outers
-Warn hubs
-Trussed
-Welded
-PartsMike Springless highsteer
Rear H052 Eaton
-5.14s welded
-crossdrilled rotors with chevy calipers

Suspension
Front- 16" SAW airshocks still debating on link set up probably TJ style set up with 1 1/4 heims 2" 1/4 wall
DOM
Rear- Inboarded 63" Chevys with homemade shackles

other mods
Full Hydro still collecting parts i need a ram/pump/resevoir
Full 1 3/4 .120 DOM exo cage
Extended Cab swap (had a regular cab wayyy to small cuz im 6'3)
H1 Double beadlocks Recentered by dean
grooved 44" TSLs

the begining:

ITS done well sort of ( i know im gonna get

for the redneck RTI)

RUBICON:

i notched into the crossmember so i could get the johnny joints as high up as possible and the top of the crossmember is opened up to allow the t-case to sit in it its all plated to the max and pretty solid. The c-mounts on the tube are in the stock location i extended the arms so that they were long enough to sit right inside the frame i did however push the front axle forward about 4 inches which puts my wheel base at about 117"s ill post some pics of the crossmember build when i get on my other computer

i like how close the cage is to the cab... but... was curious how you got the welds on the cab side? on the truck? or did you remove the cage and weld it up?

we made it so we could pull it off to fully weld it. Kinda scratched the paint, but its not a show truck so whatever

nope i cant wait to test out the new front suspension should flex and perform nicely. and full hydro will be different along with alot more room in the cab since i did the extended cab swap

well i think i might be getting a ranger that looks very similar to what you started out with. exact same rims ( popular on rangers i guess?), regular cab 89 with the 2.9 in it. whatd you do to yours to make it more wheelable stock before the 1 ton swap?

i did a Dana 35 TTB swap from a Explorer which was decent, and a 6" Skyjacker lift. It all worked alright but wasnt what I wanted. So i then did the dana 44 up front which worked really good, but my tires were to big for the axle. I would say SAS it right away with a EB or full width 44 with extended radius arms and a 9" rear.

front suspension is done and airshocks are on, still gotta add some support tubes, but im going to work on the rear tonight.

majority of wiring is done but not ready yet push button start, battery cut off, and fuel cut off on the temporary panel. battery is mounted rear suspension is done

today i mounted the gas tank, during which some cutting torch sparks got into the cab lighting 2 spray paint cans on fire and scared the

out of me, i thought it was going to burn to the ground. I grabbed the nearest hose and drenched the inside. Luckily all that got destroyed is the headliner, no wires or anything. After all that i made bump stops for the front, and mounted the PSC resevoir
