Need some info for my Marlin doubler shaft upgrade
« on: May 10, 2008, 07:43:10 PM »
Hummmm... it's been quite some time since I've posted in here.

Anywho.

OK I'm running a W56 with Marlins billet clocked 21 spline doubler. Finally decided to rebuild the R151 and run it. Question I have is, what and how much is the doubler 23 spline intermediate shaft? Can't seem to find anything about one.

Thanks

-Rob

That was the plan but did you notice the time I posted the thread?

I thought someone on here had already been down this road like Duffil (thanks BTW)

So I suppose I need the doubler 23 spline intermediate shaft and one 23 spline input shaft? The output shaft is the same 27 spline correct? Between a W56 and R151.

This is my only real weakness right now. I'm tired of carrying a spare T-case on trips and changing it out when I break the shafts. This will do until my next rig is online - sorry fellas, I'm going V-8 on that one, but this one is still will still be pounding the rocks when my friend takes it over.

yes you will need a 23spline coupler and another 23 spline input, assuming you have the input shaft that came in the turbo tcase to use in the front box.

Yep, have the complete turbo tranny.

Bought a rebuild kit from Marlin for it and it's next on the list to massage back into shape.
