Best steering mod you can do besides high steer! One handed steering in the rocks is great.
do you have to run a bigger ps cooler?
finally got my truck put back together with the aussie locker up front. when i have the tcase in 4 and the hubs locked, the steering is ridiculous. i can't steer. i thought maybe when i push in the clutch it will ratchet like the back does when i push in the clutch, but it doesn't. is this normal? is there any way to make it steer easier?
Hardest turing in the world. Thought I was going to take the wheel off the column.. Tires aired down, 4x4, on cement, turning wheels while truck was not moving. Near impossible. Now when you get out into the wheeling world. You'll find that dirt is easier to turn on, rocks tend to have some sort of debree on them and not as difficult to turn on as pavement, and it's easier to turn while truck is in motion. (more motion, easier to turn) You do realize you've just admitted to being a web wheeling right?Add, hydro assist does make it stupid simple to turn if you find that you don't want to struggle with turning. Stupid simple on any surface.
yea, i actually am checking it on pavement. probably not the best place to check it. i just figured being on rocks would probably be the same.
i'll find out how it works memorial day weekend(next planned trip). i'm just hoping its not going to be a pain in the butt.
11 days and counting rocko!thanks for the info
