1st gen truck doors in TX (pics added)
« on: May 08, 2008, 08:44:23 AM »
I have an 89 front driveshaft that I would like to get rid of.  Complete d-shaft with CV and all the u-joints feel good.  Looking for $80 shipped.  I was going to use it as a rear d-shaft but I won't be able to afford a lift for a long time.
- SOLD

Forgot something...I am in Alpine, TX

I have 1 set of first generation (79-83) truck doors.  They are in good condition and come with windows and regulators.  They are the "wing" window style doors.  $90 plus the ride.

hmmm...so $10 is too much for shipping.

Compressed it looks like the d-shaft is 22.5 and extended with a little spline showing is around 27.  Figured I would post it up.

Doors are still available.

I can get them tonight...

that shipping quote was for the d-shaft and not the doors (just to let you know).  I can work something out for shipping the doors though.

Pics of doors...if you need more let me know...both are in the exact same condition.  They just have a little poo on them...if you want that it is extra  :gap: nah, I will clean them up before they would ship out.  And yes, my truck used to be purple...

They are pretty freakin' heavy with the windows and also big (I have to carry them with the window down and on my shoulder)...I'm thinking the best way to do shipping would be $40 for fuel and I meet you in Van Horn.  I shipped a 70lb speaker and it cost 65 bucks and these are a LOT bigger than that.  I seriously think that would be the cheaper route if you have the time.  When you have enough posts then PM me and we can talk about it if that doesn't work for you.

Also, one of my buddies is a game warden in El Paso and if I go to see him then the shipping would still be $40 but I could meet you in El Paso...not sure when I will be going next though.

Might be a little while since I don't go all the way to El Paso very often but I will let you know if I do.

Just curious, but will a d-shaft from your '89 fit an '82? Just wondering...

Not unless you get the triple drilled flanges that marlin sells.  If I remember right the bolt pattern on the 89 d-shaft is bigger than on an 82.  But if you get the triple drilled flanges you should be able to fit all year d-shafts on your 82.

I just checked...looks like if you were to get the triple drilled flanges you would only be able to fit 84 and up d-shafts.

Completely forgot about this post...it has been a while since anybody said anything.  Anyway, the doors were sold about 3 weeks ago along with the truck.  I no longer have any first gen parts (all went with the truck).
