No gas to my motor
« on: Apr 18, 2008, 09:12:07 AM »
OK my truck wont fire. i pulled my spark plugs to see if teres gas on them and theres none. theres gas inthe line next to my started.  truck has a brand new fuel pump and fuel filter. i havent checked if theres gas after the filter. but i know theres no gas getting to the motor. is there a chance my injectors could be fouled? and if so can i fix that? or do you have any ideas of what else it could be? :headscratch:

Can you hear the pump run when you do the paper clip jumper?

On the drivers side of you engine compartment there is a rectangular terminal. Stick an end of a paper clip in to each one. This will cause your fuel pump to run when you turn the key to the "ON" position.

the pump is not pumping. so i need to check the connection. and use a voltage checker to check if theres current. if theres is current the that would mean my line between the tank and the filter is cloged somewere right? do i have to pull the pump out of the tank to check the votage???

I had a wire break right where is goes into the fuel tank.  Check that too.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE
AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU HAVE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.
