Cab Swap question.
« on: Apr 16, 2008, 08:23:57 PM »
Is it possible to put a Tacoma cab on a 85 4Runner frame and make it work right or would it be easier to SAS a Tacoma and go that route?

i say it would be easier to SAS a tacoma....

anything can be done... but i would rather SAS a tacoma than make a tacoma cab fit an early SA frame

The framerails are about 4-5 inches farther apart on the 96-02 Tacos compared to 79-95.

x2 on the SAS for the Taco
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE
AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU HAVE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

Much easier to cut the IFS than to unbolt the cab and reweld the cab mounts to the frame.
