22re problem #2

hey guys, im having a problem with my 22re.  first off my truck was running good with my fuel cell, it finnaly poped so i put a new motor in with all of my efi components. from the old motor.  now it will only start and stall right away unless i spray it with starting fluid.  any help would be great

You need to check to see if it has fuel pressure, injector pulse, possibly a loose ground somewhere stuff like that and that should point you in the right direction.

Is your intake hose from your air cleaner hooked up? My truck would do that if I had that hose unhooked. Just checking the basics.

? fuel cell / EFI   is it a vented cell or not ?


and have you pushed the pin in on the fuel rail 2 see if theres any air trapped in the fuel rail

now that it runs problem #2.   the truck revs up and down from about 1500 to 2200 rpm by itself, any ideas?

What did I win? You arnt the first one to try running the engine with out the hose on. I have no ideas about the reving problem. Are you geting any codes from the check engine light? does it have a/c could be the idle up for it? My truck did not have a/c so I am just guessing.

is the motor actually reving or is the guage just jumping ?
