I like the Hammered paint.
My sliders are hammered grey, looks good on my Jeeps green paint imo.
My new trick is to paint the hammerite and then spray some black over it....then sand it down.....the black paint comes off but leaves black in the hammerites "pits". That hammerite is some tough :pokinit:.

My Bumpers are black and my skid plates are red.  I just thought tan (truck), black and red was a good color combo.

One time back in the 90s I decided to paint my calipers and brake drums on my '94 pickup yellow.  I asked my buddy Ian what he thought of them and what he said pretty well sums it up:  "Well...  It kind of makes you wonder who drives it."

That being said, you guys can paint you sliders whatever color you want and you'll never be as tacky as our neighboor kid who painted the steel wheels on his '68 Dart metalic gold... gaack!

It all looks good scratched off on the rocks though... To each their own! Wheel On!

Well the black bug bit me and I now have black wheels. I powdercoated them at school.

Engine got the black treatment because it looks slick with the aluminum.

powder coat looks great, although it needs a little dirt to tone the gloss down.

I had a black truck for about 3 years out of the 5 I've owned it. I think all black everything is over-rated now. Flat black rigs don't appeal to me as much as they used to. I guess it depends on the vehicle though :)

I agree. Although, my bumpers and sliders are black, there really isn't anything else that would match with flat desert tan so black it is.

I don't know about your green/blue/gray thing you got goin on though. What color are the sliders going to be? Orange?  :eyebrow:

flat colored spray paint does not seal out rust or moisture, so a primer or something with gloss should go on under the flat. our welding instructor recently mentioned this to us.....

Mine are powder coated "lollypop blue" over "super chrome"

If I hit it just right, I might make it.
