toyota 3.0 2wd transmission
« on: Mar 28, 2008, 11:07:03 AM »
what transmission is used in the 2wd v6 Toyota truck? i might be able to get one cheap and i need parts for a r150/r151f tranny. are the gear ratio's the same or is this a no go? my other option is to wait for a cheap r150f w/tcase to show.

You nearly answered your own question!  I do believe the 1st gear ratio is a bit taller, but I don't know by how much.  Seems like wikipedia has decent toy tranny info though  :bolt:

thanks.. if thats the 2wd ratio's then it's the same as the 4wd r150f. yeah I'd like the 4.31 1st gear ratio of the r151f but just getting a counter gear for one is around $500. I've got a good 1st gear but the counter gear is shot. the 3.83 1st gear ratio should be OK because I'm dropping the r&p to 4.56.   I'll just keep buzzing it around with the l52 until i find some more parts.

Yup, that's the 2wd specs, same as the 4wd.
