Its connected to the wirering harness under the EFI intake. I have no clue were it plugs into at. a little help would be nice. thanks a bunch!

Looks like a temp sensor plug to me. But on a EFI there are 3 or 4 plugs that aren't used that are for different options/emmisions in that area of the intake.

fuel injector? or theres some plugs right in front of the efi plenum, that have two plugs or something like that i think they connect to the harness too, thats all i know for now. get to diggin around inside the hood and the enige bay

well what damage will it do if i fire my motor without it pluged in? i have looked alot of places and i cant find were it goes.

look on the valve cover, you should have a couple of vacuum switches with that plug, depending on your options. Negative on the injectors, and I'm pretty sure that's not a temp sender wire either. I think AC idle up and there is another one up there.

If it fires and runs good without it hooked up you don't need it....

I mainly know the 3rd gen wiring plugs and that sure isnt anything found on one of those... The a/c idle up is a single wire on 3rd gens too.

i have no ac so i couldnt be that. and i have looked at the valve cover and couldent find were it plugs in at. but my buddy has the same truck as me and that wire on his truck goes to the valve cover right abover the 2ed cylinder. but i dont have the spot to plug it in on my. then i looked at pics of other 22re's and some have that plug and some dont. so idk. is there any place else you can think of?

It could also be the wire that plugs in below the throttle body if you squeeze your head in from the fender looking forward.

That wire goes to one of those VSC things or whatever they are that are on top of the valve cover. On my 86 4runner I had one and it was at the very back and it was around the #3 cyl.

Im guessing like WT said its just for a differnt motor or whatever.

Is yours a cali motor or a federal motor?

Mine was a cali so that could be why. EIther way if you start it, I HIGHLY DOUBT that it will do anything with it unplugged.

My 88 truck also has that plug on it (loose) like the one in the picture. One wire is white with red stripe and the other is white with blue stripe. I think Duffil is right about the a/c Idle up. But I dont have a/c either.

No a wire that goes to one of those VSC things that are on the valve cover that have the vaccuum lines coming off it. Im pretty sure its also the same VSC that has the idle up for when you turn on your AC cause mine had AC in it.
