im almost possitive thats were it goes is on the valve cover. i just dont have it on my motor... look at the pics even. its weird.

no its a brand new motor and head i have get a new dip stick resevor befor i start it. i left the old one on my old block! i got sooo mad once i found that out. hahaha

Are the wires white with red stripe and white with blue stripe? If they are you can leave it unhooked mine is and has been that way since new.

what about the oxy sensor wiring? maybe try looking to see the wire goes or is connected to, you said the engine harness? umm intersting. vacum lines?

yea it just goes to the engin harness.

I just looked in my factory service manual for my 88 truck and that plug is with out a doubt it is for the A/C Idle up VSV that mounts to the valve cover. So if you dont have a/c you dont need to hook it up.
