Topic: front shackles hitting cab mounts

i have yj springs up front on my 85 PU and marlin 4" in rear. what can i do to fix this problem, its limiting my flex

banana shackles or cut the body mount... what shackles are currently on there? longer than stock shackles may help depending on the severity of its current situation

Toyota Front Wide Body Boomerang Shackles.

Our new wide body boomerang shackles were designed so that not only do you eliminate the narrow portion of the shackle hitting the frame, but now you will also cure the second problem. The problem we saw was that under compression, the wide body shackle now hit the body mount. Instead of cutting the body mount, we decided to build a shackle that cleared it all together. Above is the Boomerang shackle kit. It includes all 4 shackle plates, 4 metric bolts, 4 lock nuts, and 4 aluminum spacers. They Are 2 inch's longer than stock, which nets 1 inch of lift.

thanks i'm hella from norcal too, Sonora as well. i already have marlin 5.5" shackles up fornt i really don't want to buy boomerang shackles, how do i go about cutting the body mounts? what about reinforcing the mounts?

Cut that body mount and call it a day.

After flexing out for a while mine just bent enough to where they are not limiting the travel.
