Trouble with Steering setup.
« on: Mar 14, 2008, 05:52:10 PM »
I am finishing up my SAS and need to order lines and fittings for the Powersteering. i am planning on running -8AN russel powerflex hose and russel fittings and hose ends. but i need to know what the ports are on the steering box and pump, the pump is from a 99 tacoma w/ 5vzfe. and the box is your standard SAS used early 90's IFS box. what are the bore and thread pitch of these?
'99 SR5/TRD Tacoma w/5vzfe. SAS'd with 64" diamond axle (w/ long superset & ARB). about 5" of lift, 305/75 x16 BFG KM1's. Soon to come: 1.5" more lift (6.5"), 35 to 37" tire, undecided at this point., 63" F/F diamond rear, Marlin 4.7 tacobox.

you could also just use a stock toyota ps line from a 89-95 3.0 truck or 4runner.  if your set on using the aftermarket stuff look in the toyota faq on pirate

Dont think there is an exact angle??  Might as well tuck it up as much as possible.  You'll have more vibs no matter what you do.. unfortunatly :sad2:

not really ^  lift it as high as you can and then point your rear pinion at it and run a cv rear driveling any you'll be nice and smooth. ive taken mine up to almost 100mph a few times
