My old Engine only stayed on for about 1-2 seconds. This new engine is taking up to 5-6 seconds for the light to go off. New pump from Engnbldr too,  I think I better change it to be safe. It's got good pressure after the light goes off?

I am using the larger wix filter instead of the smaller diameter one

  • Don't blame me, I didn't vote for this crap.

That should not affect your pressure as all wix filters have a anti-drainback valve to help with matters such as that.
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

I don't know....15-20lbs at idle & 60lbs at 2500rpm My pressure gauge is hooked up in the port that is behind the right motor mount so it's the last port before the oil goes back into the pump, I guess it just takes a while for the oil to get that far. It was only about a 2 second wait with the smaller filter so I do think that had something to do with it. & no oil cooler

you said new engine so its rebuilt, i would suspect that. bearing clearance is what makes oil pressure and you almost for sure gained a bit of clearance over the factory.

Very true, I didn't even think about that. I pulled the valve cover and fired it up, it's getting oil right from the get go on the rockers so  I'm not going to worry about it.
