Sounds like they are 4 cylinder gears. They will work fine in 4 cylinder cases but you have to shim the hell out of the pinion.
if they sent you the wrong set...I have a V6 rear that I set up with Yukons and a solid spacer...
This is just my opinion and my gear guys as well. He will not even install genuine gears because they are crap and hard to set-up. Just because they are cheap and have a lifetime warranty is no reason to buy them. A lot of good it is going to do you when you are in the middle of nowhere and you blow. I hope you do not think that 4WPW is going to come out and fix them for you. When I first got started in this sport I ran them, I blew them, I got them replaced, and I sold the replacements.
