Topic: 1996 Toyota Camry V6 Timing Belt

Hi folks,

I am not normally one to ask questions of this nature, but I don't have my Toyota book because I am 5000 miles away from home, but has anyone changed a timing belt on a 1996 Toyota Camry V6 before and if so (heehee), anything I should look out for or anything that is seemingly a pain in the patoot?

P.S. (I ask because significant other's father asked me if I would change the timing belt on his Camry.)

Thanks in advance and if someone could supply a part number so I could give it to him as well as the best place to buy a timing belt with all needed things to do the change that would be great. (I was going to recommend a few places, but I know you folks might have a better place in mind....)


I know there are a few Marlinites that have the free time to do this! I used to be one of them untilI came ot Germany to study!

Don't worry though, I will return to my rightful web-wheeling place of origin when I land in the US.
