WANTED: Cheap or free CB antenna!!

doesnt have to be anything special, just good enough to talk up to 1/4 mile
'85 EFI X cab SR5. 42" Iroks, Dual ultimates etc.
'84 Std. cab  Yota, Chevy 4.3 swapped (makes v8's cry)
'88 4 Runner 39.5" Iroks FJ80 front, taco rear elockers dual ultimates
'07 Toyota Tundra crew max 5.7 (grocery getter/tow rig)
'14 Camry SE
SCX10 Honcho on roids!

really? i dont know much about them, obviously, i just got a cb in a trade and the only thing it didnt have is an antenna, thanks for the info guys, ill go check out radio shack!!!

what kinda antenna u thinking about running> mag mount? fiberglass? whip?

There are pros and cons to each one..

Fiberglass antennas (like a FireStik) are usually tuneable but they can break or crack from one good smack on something. You also need a spring for these.

Whip doesnt require a spring, they are pretty hard to break but are not tuneable. Some parks also dont allow them and they can be hazardous to drive on the street in certain situations because of the whip action
