I have serial #3 MC09 in my Tacoma, Mike. I have a 4.7 gear set in the MC09 and toy box for my FJ too but I don't know the SNs off hand.

Just installed the 4.70 gear set. Not sure of the number. Did not know there was a need to know the number. I do have a question. I cannot shift into 4 hi while traveling (like I could when it was stock). Is this normal now with the 4.70 gears? The t-case makes a whirring sound too, like everything is turning. It grinds horribly bad when I try to shift at anything above 5 mph!! Help please. I also seem to have a backlash feeling when in 4 low now. But maybe that is the detroit locker doing its thing? More help please.

Big mike ,

Read your article on the MCO5 Vs MCO7 . Really good read ! At the time , as you well know marlin didn't have a choice but to go with what he had on hand & what advance adapters was willing to do for marlin. It's unfortunate , especially with the money that customers put out getting their crawl box .As i stated in my last post , no problems what so ever so far .From 2004 to the present , i have wheeled my rig once ! This is going on 8 yrs  this month . I do have a wheeling trip planned coming up , really looking forward to it !

The dual t-case still works & shifts fine , no obvious problems so far . Curious what that coupler & bearing looks like .Only time will tell ....

I have a new Dual ultimate made by yall. Im kind of unsure of where to get the gear set numbers (2.28/4.7) and the MC08 serial number. It also has the new billet aluminum shifter bases  :smokin:. Id love to be added to this list! My order tag that was connected to the T-Case said #19609

Just picked up the new XD 4.70 gear set and I don't see any serial number stamped on it.. I see a ratio on each gear, but they're all different..
Anyway, it's going behind a W56c soon to be behind a 2.7.
Thanks!

#2544 with a back story: My best friend Paul Acosta's wife Sharon gifted his 4Runner to me after he passed away. I was instrumental in giving him the direction to go in building it and in the years leading to his passing used to go to his house drag him out for an event or club run. I parked my 4Runner and would drive him to the run, he would wheel it then I got him back home. In my heart it is still his rig, I am just keeping warmed up for him to drive.   So #2544 Marlin Ultimate belongs to both Ron Nissley and Paul Acosta.
