4th Annual Marlin Crawler Round Up
« on: Jun 03, 2004, 10:53:57 AM »
I had an opportunity to attend the 3rd MCR event and had blast. Wondering if there will be
a 4th annual round up this year?

But Brainless, we don't want to wheel at the mall :shake_head:

Mine is nearly as large as yours.

Actually, with out saying anything or without giving away any news on this subject, we have been working hard at getting a local trail open for the 4th annual round up to be held at.

As of right now, we are kind'of treading water with the forestry service and I dont know if anything is happening as of yet..

This particular trail is off of HWY168 in central Cali. On the map, follow I99 to Fresno, then to HWY180 East, then to HWY168 East. It'll be near a lake; find Shaver Lake on the map off of HWY168...

I think the idea is:
1) Closest for Marlin
2) Middle of CA is closest for majority of wheelers state wide
3) Displays and Supports our local trails which are great for wheeling (names like Dusy-Ershim/Swamp Lakes/Dinky Creek/Bald Mtn/Voyager rock on Dusy/Coyote and Strawberry Lakes to name some)
4) Awesome display of Toyota rigs for our area (which has a ton of heeps and large trail beasts like dodges and chevs)

I will keep ya posted. If we have any news, then of course it will be with a reasonable lead-time for the date so most can plan for and attend.

Regards,
BigMike

Brainless that isnt all that long really.  After the comp my front axle is going back 3+ inches forward putting me at 129".

I wish you guys the best of luck in getting these trails reopened!  I know that Marlin really wants at least 1 trail opened again badly.

Yep thats the one!  Ive heard how much Marlin truly misses running those trails.  I can understand just how frustrating it is to loose something you love so dear to the ignorance of others.  I hope he gets to run it again someday soon.
