Its really easy to do the swap, it just takes a bunch of parts.  Youll need at the minimum, pedal assembly, clutch master, pressure line, slave cylinder, flywheel, clutch set, and a butt connector to bypass the neutral safety switch.
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

Nope the drivelines dont need anything.  The front output is the same diseance from the face of the bellhousing but the rear is about 1 1/2" shorter so youll have a bit more slip showing on your rear driveline but it is not a problem.

A buddy and I did the swap last week in 5 hours.  You will probobly not get your swap done as fast as that just because you have not been into the dash assembly before.  To swap the pedals you will need to drop the steering column down but its not hard at all when you get the time & $$ to do the swap just ask and I can basically walk you through it step by step.

And im goign to have to argue.. yes you will need drivshaft work.. you will be runnung dual cases so your going to have to get different lengths..

If it's from an 11/84 to 6/85 22R (Carb) then it's a G52.

If it's from a 7/85 to 12/85 22R (Carb) then it's a G54.

If it's from an 11/84 to 12/85 22RE (EFI) then it's a W56.

G-series Transmission:

W-series Transmission (this is a late model verison [1989+], forward shifting style t/case, without bellhousing):

Thanks guys once again i just dont know jack  :slap: Anyways i want to use the w56 5 speed with a dual transfer case set up except with the rear with 5:1 gears in it and a twin stick with the stock t-case in the front hell ya! Or can i get a tranny from 84-87 5speeds and work under my 85x-cab truck with a 22re non turbo also would i have to get a different bellhousing for both trannys? Thanks again for your help. Or i might wait for that t-case marlin is building and put in the rear with stock t-case up front. Thanks again. Anybody want to sell a tranny and t-case i am looking for? thanks.

Big mike did a write up on the differences n lowrange gears awhile ago.  Im sure he'll have a link to it, worth reading and then not buying AA gears!  Alos in all reality if you find a trans and case from behind a r series engine it will bolt up.  Just find the best deal you can on a trans & case from a 4 cyl, the newer the better as the strength kept increasing with the years.

Ill see if I can find the writeup, the so called 5:1 gears are not really that low they were something like 4.89's or somewhere around there.  THey had to take a tooth away on the input shaft which is a bad idea since there is a lready a lot of stress in that gear set.  So by weakening it they just made a time bomb.

Oh know wonder why there the only ones who make it dang i dont want that gearset then! Especially for 650 or 550 either way i dont want to have to replace it with that much money. I'll try marlins 4.7 gearset instead stronger and better anyways thanks again for all the help you guys have given me. :beerchug:
