He didn't have much impact on my life...he was just an icon of the era. RIP Evel.
I wasn't even alive during the era. I just thought he was a badass growing up
I also taught him how to put in 5min of hard work and then spend 15min staring and admiring what you have done...
I didn't realize that Robert Knievel spelled his stage name "Evel" not "Evil". I grew up in the Evel Knievel era, riding my bike around the neighborhood, trying to jump everything in sight. I had the little windup toy that was used and abused too.
He was a hero to me back then.
