unclejs revamp (playing DR )
« on: Nov 18, 2007, 08:38:20 AM »
well it's time 2 revamp my truck  it's getting beat/worn   and noisy   I'm tired of noise.

phase I is gonna be  moter/exhaust   and start 2 clean up the frame/ inspection

phase II is get more in 2 the frame/body drivetrain/alignment/ gears/ lockers/ 4" lift / ditch body lift

well here is phase I.  (had the moter for 5months befor i tuched it took 2mounths 2 get every thing done) <--slacker

As i said  the truck is noise mostly from the tires   but the exhaust is shot and moters loud.
I picked up a used moter from the PA tacos. It came out of a smashed 92 truck.
I had the block bored 20 over/cleaned   head cleaned/valve job  intakes tanked/shot beaded
picked up new crank, rockers, waterpump   LC HP oilpump  Ebiulders masterkit / T-cam, LC header, head bolts,MC clutch kit,T-cover.

BTW did i mention it's mid Nov and i got get inspected in Dec.

pic1,2,3 how i got it
pics 4,5,6 in progrss

Your pictures are giving me flashbacks on mine!!  At least with the body lift the bell housing bolts are easier to get to.  Good luck!
What Marlin clutch did you get?  I put in the turbo 1200lb, and it's way softer than the clutch my nissan had!  I put my foot on the clutch and it falls to the floor.  So, you'll love it!  Very little effort.

Keep posting pictures!

JOE   you HAVE  to use a  compressor  that has oil in the  "case"   the small ones  are oiled by the oil in the freon only  and will burn up  after awhile if used for OBA
