IFS hubs in So Cal
« on: Oct 29, 2007, 02:48:18 PM »
Looking for some IFS wheel hub and locking hub assemblies, preferably in So Cal, but if shipping isn't too much anywhere is fine.  Of course cheaper is better.  PM me if you have any or know anyone who is selling.  Thanks

is this for the complete wheel hub and locking hub?  I need them to convert my solid front axel hubs and use sky manufaturing spacers.  If so PM me your paypal info and they are sold.

Ok, anyone have just one wheel hub?  One of the ones I got is unusable and I really want to get this thing going.

It appears as though it was run with bad bearings for a while and the bearing race was eaten up down to the mounting surface, so it will not hold the new bearings in place.  Now once again, I am talking about the actual wheel hub, not the locking hub.  As for a timely refund, no.  I was promised another hub for weeks(actually months) now and have yet to see anything.  At this point I just want to get this thing going and will deal with the "refund" at a later date.
here is a picture of what I need minus the locking hub:

here is a close up of where the bearing race was damaged(hard to see in the picture though):

yup these are the hubs I got from 86bobbedtoy(91bobbedtoy now).  he seemed like a stand up guy and promised to send me another one in its place since before the xmas break, but has yet to do so and I feel I have given him enough time.  here is his last PM as of last week about the replacement hub:

yeah I have been really busy. It seems like I just never have anytime anymore.
Im really sorry and you are right,
I will ship it tomorrow you have my word.
Im taking the day off because you are not the only one I need to make good with.
Thanks and sorry again.
I dont mean to have been really fn slow.
86bobbed

As for the bent stud, yeah that hub had 2 or 3 missing lockout studs, but those are easily replaced as you mentioned.  My main concern is getting the wheel hub I need.

I can vouch for 91bobbedtoy, I have bought easily over $500 of parts off him and he has always come through with the parts as advertised.  If something was wrong theres not a doubt in my mind that he wouldn't do what ever it takes to make it right.

As for dirtoyboy who are you to pass judgement on someone you dont even know?  IMO thats not acceptable on marlins forum.

I also have bought parts from 91bobbedtoy, on 2 seperate occasions, totaling around $1000.  Never had a problem, transactions went smooth as hell.  He's not trying to screw you, I can prmise that.  DTB: I think you jumped to conclusions.  BTW, 91bobbedtoy, the 37's are working out great.

i have bought  alot of stuff from 91bobbedtoy and if there where any defects he always  stood behind what he sold weather it was his fault it was damaged or something he overlooked. witch in this case it looks like it was just overlookedand he has always mabe it right. and it sounds like DirToyBoy your just trying to start a fight when your not even involved.

I posted because I just wanted to get another hub, since it appeared I was getting no where even though I was constantly requesting it.  As of this morning I had not yet received anything.  I just called my sisters house(where i ship my stuff) and they informed me I got a package today. It looks like something arrived today.  I noticed from the picture the shipped date is the 14th so it may very well be it.  If so thanks and sorry if this caused any problems.

Once again, I was not making any false accusations.  I even said he seemed like a stand up guy, however as you can tell I bought the hubs in Nov, I informed him of the problem a few weeks later. He replied with he could get me another in 2 weeks tops.  I replied that 2 weeks was good since I could install them on my xmas break.  The time came and went.  Several PMs and texts back and forth and still no hub.  During this whole time I kept asking for a tracking number or an expected time of arrival since I was having this shipped to my sisters house(I had someone waiting for it).  He knew all of this and just kept saying it was ready to ship or shipped.  As I posted the PM quote of our last communication on Feb 6th he gave me his word that he was going to ship it the next day.  I gave it more than a week(being from Cali to Cali it shouldn’t take more than 2 days).  Still no package.  So I decided to repost to try to get a hub from anyone that may have one so I could get my truck going.  I am not and was not putting anyone down.  I feel I was more than patient given the situation.  So to anyone that thinks I was wrong or I was trying to bad mouth anyone ask yourself what would you have done after 2 months and repeated broken promises.

I have been PM'ing both DCabTaco and 91bobbedtoy and they both are cool with each other and feel that 2 months may have been an untimely matter.

They are both good.

I am locking the thread until DCabTaco gets the package to limit any bashing on any members part. That is not welcome here.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I did receive the replacement hub yesterday.  I want to take this time to thank 91bobbedtoy for replacing the bad hub and sending everything I requested.  I would like to say that while it did take longer than expected, I am very satisfied with the transaction and would both do business with 91bobbedtoy again, as well as recommend/vouch for his business to anyone.

I would also like to say thanks to ToYocRawleR, toyotaman22r, mayberry, and Alex Simpson for reassuring me and everyone that 91bobbedtoy really is a good guy and will stand by his promise.

Now I also want to thank DirToyBoy for looking out for marlin members.  If you go back through everything that was posted he was just going by what he knew and was looking out for me in this case, but at the same time for all marlin members.

If anyone was offended by what either I posted, or anyone else posted on this thread, I would like to take this time to apologize for it.  I apologize on behalf of myself as well as others because of what they may have stated or concluded, do to the limited info I posted.

I may not post much, but I have been a member for a while now and have been lurking for a lot longer than my joined date.  I have always had good experiences in dealing with marlin members and would gladly continue to do so.  Thanks again to everyone involved.  :beerchug:
