what is the outer snap ring not coming out@!!!!!
« on: Oct 24, 2007, 01:34:05 PM »
i have a set of snap ring pliers but they dont seem to be the right tool

when i use them the plier tips find there way to the inside of the snap ring on the axle shaft it seems like i need something different to remove this i know normal rings have holes that u stick the tips in but this one doesnt have any holes and it is not flat it has an 30+ degree angle on it any ideas?

Grind groves into the tips to help out with holding.  Even after you get the angled ones, you still may wanna notch it with the grinder.  Just keep that in mind incase you still have trouble.

Any reason why you couldn't replace that PITA snapring with a normal external snap ring with the holes on the ears?
