« on: Sep 20, 2007, 06:15:10 PM »
I have a set of longfields got the ones where the birfield is upgraded to 30 spline chromoly and so on my question is where the inner and outer snapp together at the birfield how easy should they come apart  everything on them look to be good but they come apart pretty easy I keep getting a clicking sound from my driver side when I turn to the right and it is locked in 4x4 the lockout appears to be in good shape and my front is locked with a detroit I can turn to the left and it is fine ough yeah when I take the axleshaft out the birfield always comes off of the inner shaft

Where the knuckle balls on the axle clearanced enough for the Longfields?  My passenger side took quite a bit of work with a die grinder to let the Longfields turn in the housing without any clearance issues.  Also, I had to pound my inners into the birfields.  The inners should have a C clip to hold them in the birfields.

Have you called Longfield and talked to them about it yet?
