Topic: Double Lipped transmission output seal (trans rear oil seal)? Is it real?

Hey guys.  Saw a post by "Marlin Crawler" on ih8mud from a couple years ago.  It references using an "upgraded" double lipped oil seal for the transmission output shaft.  This prevents the problem of oil pumping from the transfer to the transmission on land cruisers.

Did Toyota redesign the part & update it, or did the guys at Marlin Crawler find something better?

I just had my transfer rebuilt, and the new seal is not working.  Looking for a better alternative.

[Flame suit on]  I got tired of the seal problem years ago and just put a hose from the fill plug on the tranny to the fill plug on the T-case.  When the tranny overfills it runs the oil back to the t-case where it belongs.

Now if I could just get that E-brake to stop leakin'...

Do you have double "Mudrak" seal on the e brake out put ?

No but if I keep this T-case much longer I'll be giving Gary a call...
