i noticed the fitting on the top of the box was sticking up a little bit so i pulled it out. on the directions to drill it it says to drill the hole to the bottom of the vein but this one is not. you can clearly see the vein but the hole stops there. in the directions it says to do this so you get the fitting in well enough but do you think that maybe it wont flow enough fluid cause the opening to the fiting would be smaller in my box then in one that was drilled all the way down?? just a thought

well im probably gonna leave it like this thru the weekend so i can go wheeling but does anyone have any advice as to where to go from here?? anybody know a good way to aquire a 6 in. ram for cheap so i can eliminate the ram being bad as my problem?
I don't know where you are, but is there a hydraulic shop (or CAT dealer) near you? if so, they should be able to test the ram.
Your hose are mounted backwards. The top hose always goes to the passenger side no matter which way you mount the ram.
