Typical 4runner flatbed project
« on: Aug 22, 2007, 02:36:35 PM »
It started life as an 85 runner, needless to say it has taken a turn for the diffrent.  It will take me awhile to get this thread up to date, but ill try.  NONE OF THESE PICTURES ARE FINISHED WORK.  THESE ARE PUT TOGETHER STEEL ONLY NO MORE.  I'll get finsihed pictures up when that happens.

This is the truck with just the cage and stock body.  Just to give you an idea where this is heading.

This is where the problems started, a few beers and a couple hours later this is her.

We chose to keep the body from the cab back so this is how we fixed that.

Sarah looking on in horror at what I have done to our car.

Then we slapped a bed on it and included a storage bin.

Any plans to cover the backseat? :dunno:

I used the tailgate, but it looks like you could use some basic sheet metal back there. :twocents:

the cab has been converted into a buggy style bucket with 3 bucket seats.  I seperated the bed and the interior with 16g steel and braced it up.  I will post up more pictures as soon as i can.  I know it looks incomplete but there is more instore.  The bed has dovetailed sides.  The rear in finished, storage boxes added, about 10% toyota interior left the rest is new sheet metal.  Linex-ed interior and flatbed....not can of of craped it.  just processing pictures right now.
