Topic: Paint Code Location

Can anybody tell me the location of the paint code on a 91 4X4.  I have another truck I would like to paint the same color but I don't know where to find the code.

With my 86 it's on the VIN  plate in the engine compartment on the firewall

In the glove box.

You can also take your gas tank lid down to the paint shop and they will color match it. (good to do if your paint is faded)

I think on your '91 it'll abe on the vin plate on the door jam.  It'll be abunch of letters and numbers in 4 digit clusters.  This will also be your gear ratios etc.  Google it to find out which group is the paint code.

I found it, it is on the door tag.  In the glove box is a sticker that pertains to the stripe decals on the body.

8D8 is what I have on the door tag.  Guess thats the info the paint store will need too.
