My guess/hope is that eventually they will come out with another compact truck. Every refresh cars/trucks are made bigger and bigger leaving a void at the bottom. Perfect example is what happened with the civic. It eventually got so big that they had to release a different car to fill the compact segment. With fuel economy being forced on the automakers, it would make sense that sometime in the next 5 or 10 years we will see another compact toyota truck... or maybe my optimism is clouding my forsight
