why you have dedicated any time at all towards making sure my truck doesn't sell is beyond me.

all i can say in my defense is that it's a cherry of a truck considering that it's 26 years old and has been a Minnesota truck for most of that time. i, unlike who sold it to me know what it is and how peculiar it is to see a truck of that nature in the condition that it's in. it's been my DD for months now and i have a good feel for its longetivity and reliability in the long run otherwise i would never try and sell to turn a profit. i'm not looking for 'some sucker out west' on which to dump a beat truck. if this is what someone's looking for, i have it, and it's in decent shape. besides that money is kind of tight for me right now and i don't know if it makes sense for me to keep something like that when i am unable to garage it or give it the attention that it needs. someone who deserves this thing more than i do would not be crazy at all to pay upwards of at least 3k for something that runs as well as it does that i've taken care of as well as i have.

you're more than welcome to make an offer, otherwise i would suggest to drop the know-it-all attitude regarding someone else's rig

these things are rare, and if it is in the shape that you say it is, 2,200 is worth it.  Trekkers are really nice when you want a 4 runner but like the 1st gen look...seriously, if I had the cash I would buy it.  6'5" doesn't fit in my 89 regular cab very well.  If I sell my truck any time soon I will probably buy yours.  LOVE the 1st gen look, but my 79 has seen better days...and like I said, 6'5" doesn't fit in that regular cab very well either.

89 have you ever crawled under a 20+ year old minnesota truck? give him 2200 for it and I will give you a cookie. It may even be worth it to someone so willing to devote alot of time into restoring it. For a trail, offroad rig(which is what this board is based on) it would mean 2x as much work just to go damage and break it on the trail.
Yes I am a true beliver that if you arent pushing the limits of the driver and vehicle you arent wheeling, you are watching. I would love to beat the snot out of a trekker on the trail, just so I could laugh when people say "was that a trekker". If you get to needing the money too bad hit me up and we can work something out, but I am not willing to get close to your offering price either.
Hug your kids, pray for a soldier, and don't sweat the small stuff.

Of course I would look at it before I bought it...if it is bad...well then...your definitly right, wouldn't give 2200; if the rust was bad I would also just offer what ya'll probably would...but I would still take the cookie  :chew:  :) ..ok, off topic.  :_oops:

If I wanted to be a know it all I could write pages of scathing responses about the issue and many other things. I actually feel what I wrote was rather mild. Say what you will, you will be the one that deals with the unhappy person that drives 6 hours to look at the truck and finds your "cherry" to be a little out of season. If I am such a know it all then why do you call me when you have technical questions?
If you still have control you aren't going fast enough

because you're a helpful and knowledgable person when it comes to toyota 4x4, and because you have good access to parts i often need, and you are generally pleasant to deal with.

seikendude80

I've seen it. It starts and drives in such majestic ways.

Yota_Gotta_Krawl

Ill BUMP this, this truck is pretty cool to see driving down the street, and as for parts go through adam  ;), And cole u bought ur blue yota for $1000 right? and yea it was modded and what not BUT they made a hella lot of those, this could have holes in the cab and somone could easly replace it with a whole new one, now if it wasent a fiberglass rear then it would be another story, but ill easly say that you could get $2,200   overall this wasent so much a mass production truck SO the resale price will keep going up by the years. And hey if u want some body work done to it i can get u a deal, just PM me
I like my cars low and fast and my trucks tall and slllloooowwwww

Its a neat truck, pretty clean for a 26 year old truck around here.

THIS IS A NO  BASHING ZONE

dont make me get the :bat:

ok heres my opinion Opius,   the truck  has ALOT  of rust,  http://images7.pictiger.com/images/7c/01934cdb0344879c2ffeda9995f0c57c.jpg

how is the frame??  if it looks  like im guessing it needs a new frame,  but a  1st gen frame  should swap right in

i would say  $2000   if  you do some body work  on the cab

was the frame  under coated  ???
